{"id":7961,"date":"2026-02-03T09:28:39","date_gmt":"2026-02-03T03:58:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp1.niviyo.in\/index.php\/2026\/02\/03\/adamu-arthur-mvuka-join-celtic-on-loan\/"},"modified":"2026-02-03T09:28:39","modified_gmt":"2026-02-03T03:58:39","slug":"adamu-arthur-mvuka-join-celtic-on-loan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wp1.niviyo.in\/index.php\/2026\/02\/03\/adamu-arthur-mvuka-join-celtic-on-loan\/","title":{"rendered":"Adamu, Arthur &amp; Mvuka join Celtic on loan"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li>Published2 February 2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Updated 20 minutes ago<\/p>\n<p>Celtic have signed Austria striker Junior Adamu from Bundesliga club Freiburg, Brentford centre-half Benjamin Arthur and Lorient winger Joel Mvuka, all on loan to the end of the season.<\/p>\n<p>The Scottish champions, who have sent fellow striker Johnny Kenny on loan to Bolton Wanderers and allowed centre-half Stephen Welsh to return to Motherwell, have an option to buy Adamu and Mvuka in the summer.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Nigeria, 24-year-old Adamu came through the RB Salzburg academy and scored 23 goals in 84 appearances for the Austrian side.<\/p>\n<p>Adamu, who has nine caps for Austria, moved to Freiburg in 2023 and has found the back of the net seven times in 67 matches.<\/p>\n<p>He has made 18 appearances this season, 14 of them starts, scoring once.<\/p>\n<p>However, he has only featured once as a substitute in Freiburg&#x27;s past 10 Bundesliga games for the side sitting seventh in the German top flight, although he did start last week&#x27;s 1-0 Europa League defeat away to Lille.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"\/sport\/football\/articles\/ckgjjjgyjngo\">\n<p>Who has your Premiership club brought in &amp; let go? &#8211; January 2026<\/p>\n<p><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Published40 minutes ago<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>But Celtic manager Martin O&#x27;Neill was attracted to his &quot;experience of high-level football&quot;.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;He has also been involved in European competition, so we are bringing in a talented, experienced, international forward to really enhance our attacking options,&quot; he told Celtic&#x27;s website.<\/p>\n<p>Adamu is eyeing a league and Scottish Cup double while scoring &quot;a lot of goals&quot; and wants &quot;to improve as a player&quot;.<\/p>\n<p>Asked what kind of player Celtic fans will see in action, he added: &quot;I&#x27;m dangerous in the box and hungry for goals.
