US ambassador Sergio Gor, who is on a visit to India, on Monday announced that India will be invited<\/a> to join the United States-led strategic initiative, Pax Silica, which will cover critical minerals to advance manufacturing.<\/p>\n What is Pax Silica? Together, these partners are home to the most important companies and investors powering the global AI supply chain. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n US officials had then said the selection focused on current roles in semiconductor and AI supply chains, not a broader political grouping. The US has clarified that discussions with India remain ongoing and separate from Pax Silica and that India is still viewed as a \u201chighly strategic potential partner".<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Gor said, \u201cAs the world adopts new technology, it is essential that India and the United States work hand in hand from the very start of this initiative\u2026You and I have an incredible once in a lifetime opportunity to redefine diplomacy.
